Two powerhouse new-music ensembles come together for an evening of premieres, including a work by Carnegie Hall’s Richard and Barbara Debs Composer’s Chair Philip Glass. The New York Times has said of Sō Percussion, “Through a mix of consummate skill and quirky charm, this mercurial quartet has helped ignite an explosive new enthusiasm for percussion music old and new.” JACK Quartet has cast aside all stereotypes of the traditional string quartet with concerts that are “drop-everything-and-go occasions” (The Philadelphia Inquirer).
