Connie Li is a violinist, writer, and general arts enthusiast drawn to the intersections between art and social justice.
She earned a BM in Violin Performance with a minor in Creative Writing from NYU this past May, and is spending her time outside of formal education actively participating in her communities in and out of music. In the past year she has performed with the Crosswinds Quartet in Brooklyn, Femmelody Chamber Music Collective in Harlem & Toronto, and the Nief Norf Summer Festival in Knoxville, all through which she was able to collaborate with and perform works by womxn and non-binary artists. In addition to violin, she was a member of NYU’s Steel Ensemble under Josh Quillen, and performed alongside the CASYM Steel Orchestra for the 2019 Brooklyn Panorama Competition.
In addition to her work with So Percussion, she has served as an Arts Administration Intern with the Knights Orchestra. She also works at a mission-driven cafe in Chinatown & in her free time co-produces and co-hosts the podcast “But Where Are You Really From?”
