From the Library of Congress:

Submerge in an evening of sonic possibilities with one of the most innovative contemporary percussion ensembles that continues pushing musical boundaries. With a music style described as an “exhilarating blend of precision and anarchy, rigor and bedlam” (The New Yorker), the fierce Sō Percussion partners with breathing artist and composer Dominic “Shodekeh” Talifero for his piece “Vodalities: Paradigms of Consciousness for the Human Voice!” The program includes music by Puerto Rican composer Angelica Negrón, Nathalie Joachin, Eric Cha-Beach, Pauline Oliveros, and Jason Treuting.

Pre-concert Conversation with the Artists: 6:30 pm, Whittall Pavilion

Rose, Eddie, Hanna, Tim, Squiggy, Lemmy, Alfalfa they’ll all be there, with brand new ways to cut in song in pieces. Tell Everyone! Cuz it’s free (donation suggested) and there’s a fridge of beer and seltzer!
